Year of Travel: 2023 Inspiration and Beyond

I have compiled a few of my favorite quotes about life and traveling to look to as we arrive in 2023! Take a look and see which one is your favorite! You are welcome to right-click, save and share if one resonates with you!

There are seven days in a week and "Someday" isn't one of them.

You are only promised the moments are you are in right now. If you wait for the right time or right situation that you’ve created in your mind, you may never reach those moments. Today is the day, this week is the week, this year is the year, friends. GO now!

Travel is never a matter of money, but of courage

Of course, travel is a matter of money to a certain degree, but it really is a matter of courage. I used to be scared of certain aspects of traveling. I didn’t understand all of it and didn’t feel comfortable with it. Eventually, I built up my courage and confidence and now I’m excited to travel. It takes courage to go places you’ve never been and step out of your comfort zone!

Embrace Uncertainty. Some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives won't have a title until much later.

The only thing that is certain in life is change. Once you are able to accept it, there are so many opportunities to embrace with open arms. I can barely comprehend that the incredible life we have now is a direct result of allowing ourselves to endure the chaos that we threw ourselves into at the beginning of 2021.

Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow.

This is very accurate for us both in traveling and moving new places. Each place has left a huge mark on us and really becomes part of who we are.

The biggest adventure you can take in life is to live the life of your dreams.

Living the life of your dreams is an adventure in itself filled with a bunch of other amazing adventures!Β

The purpose of life is to live it, to taste the experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly & without fear for newer, richer experience.

This quote is very straight forward and that’s why I love it! Stop just existing and start living friends!

A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to it's old dimensions.

Once you invite those new experiences into your life, it’s hard to see things the same way that you did before. I could feel myself transforming over the years as we’ve gathered more unique experiences. It opens your eyes and your heart to both the struggles and successes of people who aren’t like you and you can apply those learning moments to so much in the future.

Better to see something once than hear about it a thousand times.

Really. It is. You have decide what you must see for yourself and what can be enjoyed through others sharing their experiences.Β

It doesn't matter where you're going, it's who you have beside you.

A long time ago, we adopted the idea that home is a person (or people), not a place. This has made every single huge move we have made SO much easier than if we were stuck in our previous way of thinking. When applying this to travel, any sort of adventure is worth taking when you have those you love with you! and YES, this includes solo travel. Taking adventures by yourself is a great way to search deep in your soul for what makes you really happy. Either style of traveling is a great opportunity to make new lifelong friends too!

People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on the earth.

Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child - our own two eyes. All is a miracle.

Walk outside, feel the fresh air and sunshine on your face. These are miracles that you can see and feel every single day and they don’t cost a dime. When traveling, these same words are magnified by the beauty and uniqueness of the new area you are discovering!

Life is meant for spectacular adventures. Let your feet wander, your eyes marvel, and your soul ignite.

One of my favorites! Those spectacular adventures don’t have to cost thousands of dollars either. When you apply the previous Thich Nhat Hanh quote to your life, this one can’t help but make you grateful for the everyday adventures as well as the big ones!Β

I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going.
Are you coming with me?

Another favorite! Spontaneity has become the norm in our family and it feels incredibly freeing to enjoy life this way sometimes. So, lets go on an adventure!

Blessed are the curious, for they shall have adventures.

Accurate, especially when hiking for this fam. Just around that next corner, or up over that next hill might be the view of a lifetime.Β Ask my children how often we pull this on them out in nature to get them to go just a little bit further!
